Spend five to ten minutes on the main pet area. Shake or brush washable covers, collect hair from the sofa, and sweep the feeding area.
Weekly: clean fabrics and floors
Wash bedding according to its care label. Vacuum slowly, using overlapping passes, and clean beneath furniture where hair gathers in drafts.
Monthly: maintain the equipment
Inspect vacuum filters, brush rolls, dryer vents, HVAC filters, and reusable cleaning tools. A clogged machine often moves hair around instead of removing it.
Choose a schedule you can repeat. Consistency matters more than an ambitious routine that is abandoned after two weeks.
